2. Batman V Superman Is Teased On A Times Square Billboard - I Am Legend

This might be more of a happy accident than anything, but it still counts.

In Will Smith's 2007 post-apocalyptic thriller I Am Legend, we take a trip through a deserted Times Square and, for a moment, a billboard advertising a Batman vs Superman movie is clearly visible, with a 2010 release date listed below.

While this Easter egg was actually a gag directed at I Am Legend screenwriter Akiva Goldsman - who also penned Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, and rewrote an early Batman Vs Superman script - it also doubles as being accidentally prophetic.

The 2010 date obviously didn't stick, but Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was finally released by Warner Bros. - who also distributed I Am Legend - in 2016.

It was a speculative-at-best joke at the time, though it's also not unreasonable to suggest that Warner Bros. were legit putting the feelers out there to see how the Easter egg was received by audiences.
