10 Movies That Accidentally Made You Love The Villains

4. Friday The 13th - Jason Voorhes

There are many iconic horror villains that gave graced our screens throughout the years, but Jason Voorhes is up there with the very best. The legendary Friday the 13th films have spanned decades of remakes, squeals and spin offs, but Jason is the one constant that ties them all together.

Maybe it’s the simplicity of the villain that has drawn fans to this villain more than others. The everyday work overalls and hockey mask are hardly the most thought out tools of disguise, but that plays in the character’s favour. This isn’t a monster, it’s a regular person who has dug an outfit out of his garage before heading out to massacre teenagers.

It might even be the determination that he possesses that brings people back time after time. Jason is a man who will not be beaten and will stop at nothing to bring chaos wherever he goes.

In reality, it’s Jason’s motivations that have sneakily made you love him. His victims are usually immoral in some way, under-age drinkers or people disrespectful to nature. He is just trying to look out for humanity and stop them going down the same slippery slope he did. It’s really quite an honourable job that Jason has tasked himself with... If you ignore all the murdering.
