10 Movies That Actually Do Need A Remake

1. Avatar: The Last Airbender - Keep Shyamalan As Far Away As Possible

There are many things wrong with the Avatar movie. From white-washing the characters in the typical way that Hollywood does with anime, to completely missing the point of what the show was about. And fans... were mad. There isn't an Avatar fan in the world that enjoyed the movie, and if there was one, they'd know better than to announce this to the fandom.

People have debated for years about why the movie was so bad, but most fans agree that it is rooted in one crucial thing: having M Night Shyamalan as the director, producer and writer.

Shyamalan first came into the film industry on a positive wave due to his movies Signs and The Sixth Sense, but at the point in his career where The Last Airbender was released, Shymalan had pretty much lost all respect in the industry. And if you don't trust me on this, ask the sentient plants. So fans were understandably confused and quite miffed when his inclusion was announced.

The film was predictably terrible and fans to this day are holding out hope for a remake worthy of the franchise. And after the disaster that was Shyamalan's interpretation, they deserve one. But lets just keep the marmite-like filmmaker away from the project this time, yeah?
