10 Movies That Actually Do Need A Remake

While The Faculty is technically a remake of sorts in itself, basing itself on Invasion of The Body Snatchers, The Puppet Masters and many other alien parasite movies and projects, it still deserves to be on this list.

The Faculty is a 1998 sci-fi horror movie about a bunch of high school students that uncover an alien race infesting their school. The teachers are being taken over, friends and classmates are getting infected and friends and foes alike are turning on each other distrustfully.

When the movie originally came out, it was critically panned and casual moviegoers were unaffected by the release. It was very quickly forgotten by the public and the movie was swept under the rug as a cheesy and clique, late 90s romp.

But, like many things these days, The Faculty has had a resurgence as of quite recently. Critics have reevaluated the movie and have deemed it a clever, socially aware classic that deserved a second chance. And although this revival of interest has drummed up attention for the movie, I still believe that is not enough.

So a remake for The Faculty is a great idea. With a renewed dedication to practical effects in the horror genre and companies like Dead Silence, who are creating the Scream reboot, revamping projects for a new audience, now is the time for a remake.
