This isn't a controversial statement, and it's also not a revolutionary one either; at this point, it's probably more of a meme than anything else. But nevertheless, it's also true: we do love the 80s! How could you not? The 80s brought us Winona Ryder, Back To The Future, Rubix cubes and Wham!

From there the movie/tv industry realised that there was a lot of money in replicating the feeling of the 80s. And we aren't complaining. When watching the kids in Stranger Things, it is impossible not to think of one of the 80s' most iconic movies: The Goonies. The Goonies has been referenced and parodied in many ways, and it's about time it got a full re-adaptation.
A Goonies tv show in the vibe of Stranger Things would be amazing, but what I propose is slightly different. What about a Goonies movie that walks in the footprints of the 2017 IT movie! Give us a horror baked, nostalgia wrapped, adventure drizzled, three-course Goonies meal: we are starved for it! Oh, and it has to star Finn Wolfhard, that's compulsory.
