10 Movies That Are Still Stuck In Development Hell

A remake of the ill-fated cult classic The Crow has been in the works for a while now and actually seemed like it was going to come out within the next year or two, but the project has since been cast back into the pits of development hell.

The remake was first talked about back in 2008, with Stephen Norrington set to write and direct the film. A couple of years later, Norrington left the project and another director came in. Bradley Cooper was being talked about as the lead actor, but legal issues plagued the project throughout 2011 and Cooper quickly dropped out, with rumours suggesting that Mark Wahlberg or Channing Tatum might replace him.

Another director came and went and Corin Hardy was eventually called in to helm the project. That's when things started looking up. Pre-production seemed to be speeding up and, in 2016, Jason Momoa shared a photo of himself with the director. Only a few weeks later, reports stated that Momoa had got the lead role and production was set to start in 2017. Unfortunately, all of that hype turned into nothing and, in May of this year, Hardy and Momoa left the project.
