9. Natural Born Killers

Before Oliver Stone completely lost his edge sometime in the '90s he made a name for himself by creating button-pushing cinema. He produced his most infamous film with his 1994 offering Natural Born Killers. The film satirizes the media's love affair with serial killers and how this obsession can inspire violence. Ironically, since the moment of Natural Born Killers' release, many have alleged that the film incited copycat crimes, most notably the Columbine High School massacre. The Republic Ireland banned the film outright and, before it would allow a UK release of the film, the BBFC launched an investigation into the alleged copycat crimes. The extent to which the film caused real-world violence remains open for debate to this day.
