In case you havent noticed, Michael Keaton has become somewhat of a good luck charm at the Academy Awards. He starred in the Best Picture winner of 2014 (Birdman) and 2015 (Spotlight) and, with any luck, he could go for the threepeat next year. Ray Kroc is the man who popularised McDonalds, taking the lowly restaurant and turning it into a franchise that would become the poster child for capitalism. Keaton plays Kroc as we witness the birth of one of the biggest businesses in the world, something that should really resonate with audiences; it's something we all know of course, and a dramatic take on a real, but accessible subject matter is something the Academy always loves. John Lee Hancock might not be an outright visionary but The Blind Side director has had success with the Academy before. Put him together with The Wrestler screenwriter Robert D. Siegel and super-producer Harvey Weinstein and The Founders chances look good already.
Connor loves movies, comics, and TV, and is trying to write for people who feel the same way. When he's not sitting on the couch with his laptop, you might find him lying in his bed with his laptop.
