10 Movies That Couldn't Get Time Travel Right

7. Primer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CC60HJvZRE Shane Carruth's Primer is by far the most clinical and down-to-Earth time travel film you will ever see, going through the logistics and science of such an event in bewildering detail, that it in the end it wound up turning many viewers off. The protagonists try to use their machine to cash in on the stock market, though soon enough the realities of their scheme come back to bite them in the ass. It's not so much that there's a big logical issue with Primer, but simply that it is a victim of its own lofty ambition; keeping track of what's going on, even in a film this minimalist, proves headache-inducing due to the esoteric dialogue, and while it's an interesting curio, it doesn't exactly make for the most invigorating or rewarding experience. Time travel is abusively cranked up in the finale, by which point countless timelines are active at once. Maybe I'm just not clever enough for this movie...
