10 Movies That Cruelly Teased What We REALLY Wanted To See

3. The Hangover 3 Gives Us The Film We Really Wanted... After It Had Already Ended

The Hangover became so hugely popular for how it opened with a scene of chaos and carnage, and then elaborated on the insanities that caused said chaos and carnage.

Many had presumed that The Hangover Part II would follow the same formula that had worked so well for its predecessor, opening up with a scene of destruction and then tracing back what exactly went on. That's largely what we all got, and it again made for a film that brought the chuckles from so many.

So, by the time of 2013's The Hangover Part III, fans of those first two films presumed that the tried and tested approach of a 'wake up' movie would again be the order of the day.

Instead, that was not the case, with the third Hangover offering resisting the temptation to revert back to the hugely popular approach. However, director Todd Phillips did give fans a glimpse of what could've been - with the mid-credits sequence of The Hangover Part III seeing our familiar faces waking up after another chaotic night of debauchery.

According to Phillips himself, this mid-credits scene was done as an F-U to those who threw shade at the franchise for the prospect of one of these days/nights happening yet again.
