4. Robocop (1987) - Murphy Takes Down Dick Jones

The 1987 version of Robocop is one of the most violent films of all time, but proves incredibly effective because of it. The film sees policeman Murphy murdered, before being transformed into the titular Robocop, the new front line in crime enforcement.

The movie's final scene is iconic for our hero Murphy taking down the big bad, the aptly named Dick Jones. Having recorded footage of Jones acting in a manner befitting of his first name, Murphy attempts to have him arrested, but not before Jones takes his boss hostage.

When Jones is fired in front of Murphy, the Robocop dishes out justice, firing upon the villain in a volley of gunfire. The blood flows from the body of Jones in a deliciously over-the-top burst of violence that matches the tone of the film beautifully.

The subsequent collapse back through the window is a treat, and leaves the audience smiling as much as Jones' coworker, whose broad grin upon his colleague's demise serves as another gold moment.
