5. Kill Bill - Massacre Of The Crazy 88

There are a few fist-pump moments to be had when watching the first 'volume' of Tarantino's part anime, part martial-arts flick, but none more so than 'that sword fight scene'. Filmed with a delicious amount of gore and over-the-top action resembling The Matrix, the Bride's delicious take down of the Crazy 88 is excessive violence of the highest order.

The incredible brutality of the scene proves to be campy fun in spite of its staggering violence and insane death toll. The fact that Tarantino chose to have the film in black and white because the scene was too graphic in colour says a lot.

Eyes are taken out of sockets, body parts are dismembered, heads are decapitated and one guy is given a smack on his butt for being a very naughty boy!

The oozing of the blood from the numerous bodies at the hands of the bride is another dark delight that makes the scene work. Hearing the screams of her victims (well, those who are alive) at the completion of her rampage is as much of a joy for us as it is for the bloody bride.
