Just as the first Wayne's World allowed audiences to savour multiple alternate endings before settling on the "mega-happy ending," so too did the sequel.

When it's looking like Wayne's (Mike Myers) music festival Waynestock is going to be a disaster, he and Garth (Dana Carvey) decide to make the "best" of it and re-enact the ending of Thelma and Louise, which was released two years prior.

And so, Wayne and Garth don getups to vaguely resemble Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis respectively, before they drive a convertible version of the Mirthmobile off the edge of the Grand Canyon.

Thankfully this ending doesn't stick, though, and the duo finally decide to do a standard happy ending in which Waynestock is a success and Wayne gets back with Cassandra (Tia Carrere).

All the same, it's such a bonkers, no-context parody of Thelma and Louise that you're basically duty-bound to go watch that movie if you haven't already - even if it ultimately spoils the ending.
