10 Movies That Put Fans In Denial

7. Avengers: Age Of Ultron

OK, so this isn't a bad film by any means. But having loved it the first time around, it's hard not to feel more and more disappointed with each rewatch. Considering it was following one of the most influential comic book films of all time, there's a lot it gets right, from Hawkeye's spotlight moment to Vision's origin.

Getting past their shock value, the sequel does start to crumble upon a little more scrutiny. Having more plot holes and nonsensical moments than most in the MCU lineup, it seems as if the focus on the story at hand was sacrificed in favour of awkwardly shoehorning in as much setup as possible.

It also doesn't help that way too many characters were given quippy one-liners, not only stopping them feeling unique but also making it quite annoying to sit through at times.

The sad part is that it could've been so much more, especially with Ultron's remarkable screen presence, which now just feels like such a missed opportunity.

Again, there's a lot to like here, but the fact that it's an Avengers film under the MCU banner makes us give it more of a pass than it probably deserves.
