10 Movies That Redeemed Hated Characters In A Single Scene
6. Amilyn Holdo - Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi
Keeping in the Star Wars universe, here we have a Sequel Trilogy personality that fans took an instant disliking to from the moment they arrived on the scene in a galaxy far, far away.
With General Leia Organa out of commission after being blasted into space and using the Force to float back to safety, Vice-Admiral Holdo takes control of the Resistance, much to Poe Dameron's frustration in The Last Jedi.
After frequently disagreeing with Poe about the best course of action for the Resistance at a time when the First Order were closing in on the last of their forces, the reveal that Holdo was planning on evacuating the people on board the Resistance cruiser via defenceless escape transports only left her name more firmly etched into some fans' bad books.
Yet, despite Poe attempting a mutiny, the Vice-Admiral's final moments, consisting of Holdo sacrificing herself by piloting the cruiser as the transports made their escape and blasting through the First Order flagship at lightspeed, proved that there was in fact a dedicated and loyal Resistance member buried underneath her often prickly surface.
