10 Movies That Salvaged Terrible Characters

7. Bo Peep - Toy Story 4

Rick Flag
Pixar

Though very few fans could see the reason for returning to a franchise that had already gone out on such a unanimously well-received note, that still didn't stop those same Toy Story lovers from cramming themselves into theatres to take in the superb fourth offering from the Pixar series.

Sure, some of our more cherished characters such as Jessie, Bullseye, and many other members of the OG gang were sidelined for much of the flick, but all was forgiven by the time another old favourite returned onto the scene. That being said, the Bo Peep that found herself in the role of fairly bland love interest to the franchise's golden boy in the first two entries was almost unrecognisable by the time she popped up in Toy Story 4.

Losing the largely obstructive frock and adopting a new-found independence in the wake of being given away, the Bo that returns to our screens is a welcome breath of fresh air. Helping Woody save the day this time round and leading a collection of "lost toys" into a new life, Bo is undoubtedly the film's MVP, making the decision to give the character her own prequel a bit of a no-brainer.
