10 Movies That Show You Shouldn’t Trust Strangers
3. Last House On The Left (1972)
Teenagers Mari and Phyllis hear about some escaped 'convicted murderers, dope pushers and rapists' on the radio on their way to a concert, but don't make the connection when they meet escapee Krug's son Junior. Junior isn't a violent criminal but is reliant on the others to supply his heroin addiction, which makes him act in a way that appears to be against his nature in a lot of the film.
The girls approach Junior asking to buy some weed and he at first says no, but then realises that his family might like to meet them so he convinces them to come back in the house with him. The girls are quickly locked in and abducted by the criminals, who attack them and then force their unconscious bodies into their car to take them into the forest.
After torturing them, Phyllis runs away with Junior left to guard Mari while the others chase her. Mari still believes that Junior isn't like the others, so instead of escaping, she tries to convince him to come with her so her father can help him with his drug addiction. He doesn't go with her, but agrees to let her go. However, with all the time she spent talking to Junior, she is caught by Krug who attacks her and kills her.
After they take refuge at Mari's parents house, Junior is distraught with guilt and withdrawing. He tries to help Mari's father but Krug manipulates him into shooting himself instead.
