9. Antichrist (2009)

The poster for Lars von Trier€™s Antichrist features our two main characters with their head superimposed onto a pair of scissors. This is, of course, a nod to the most memorable moment of the film, which will be dealt with in a moment. The film tells the story of a couple ("He" and "She" played by Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg) who, after the death of their child, retreat to a cabin in the woods where He experiences strange visions and She manifests increasingly violent sexual behavior and sadism. This violent behavior ultimately manifests when the women crushes her husband€™s testicles with a block of wood, masturbating him until he ejaculates blood and then cuts off her own clitoris with a pair of scissors. And yes, the film shows all of this in all of its explicit glory. In other words, this movie isn't for everybody.
