10 Movies That Tried To Make The Internet Scary

Russell Crowe as SID in Virtuosity
Paramount Pictures

In the lat 90s, we loved virtual reality. Today, we know better. We rejected Google glasses as a viable product and the number of people who have been interested in it has dropped drastically. Apparently, we like reality, however awful it may be.

But Virtuosity wanted us nervous, as evil fake criminal Russell Crowe crosses into reality and it's up to cop Denzel Washington to stop him. Crowe goes on a crime spree - not unlike the actual Russell Crowe - and kills multiple people.

This forgotten disaster-treasure features gruesome murders, goofy trailer-worthy quotes and Lawnmower Man director Brett Leonard. Man, that guy had a weird obsession.
