10 Movies That Tried To Make The Internet Scary

Tim Robbins' character is not Bill Gates. Bill Gates legally requires us to make that clear.
That said, Tim Robbins' character is totally Bill Gates. In this absurd, twisty thriller, Ryan Phillipe (who was an actor in movies, for the youngsters), plays a brilliant computer-person who creates code that attracts the attention of Robbins' multi-millionaire.
So he's given a cushy new lifestyle - outside of working from a garage in Silicon Valley, Phillipe now lives on a cult-like compound owned and run by Robbins where workers have beanie bag chairs, hammocks and every perfect girlfriend they could want.
The only problem is that Robins is actually stealing the code, killing the creators to build upon his business. Which begs the question - why didn't he just kill Phillipe? The double-crosses and fake-outs throughout this ridiculous movie would be fun, were it not such a slog to sit through.
What was supposedly meant to be prophetic turned out to be paranoid lunacy.
