10 Movies That Were Filmed But Never Finished
10. My Best Friend's Birthday
Years before Quentin Tarantino got the smell of success in his nostrils, he co-wrote and directed the film My Best Friends Birthday. On and off between the years of 1984 and 1987, Tarantino collaborated with his video store co-workers Craig Hamann and Roger Avary to produce this 70-minute comedy; the latter of the two went on to work with Tarantino on a catalogue of fruitful projects, including Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction.
When Mickey (Hamann) loses his girlfriend, Clarence (Tarantino) tries to surprise his best friend with a birthday that he will never forget. Only half of the black and white low-budget film survived a fire that broke out where the 16mm negative was being developed.
