10 Movies That Were Never Meant To Be Good
6. Underworld: Blood Wars
Credit where credit’s due: Blood Wars is a more engaging, less contrived sequel than Awakening and goes some way towards making up for its predecessor. But it’s still too little too late for a franchise than ran out of steam when Scott Speedman departed.
Released shortly before Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, it’s pretty much the same movie, with another kick ass heroine fighting some humourless villains (who you can tell are evil just by looking them) though the filmmakers have inserted a detail that distinguishes the movie in an overcrowded marketplace – near the end of Blood Wars, Kate Beckinsale’s hair changes colour slightly.
Otherwise, it’s just a movie to put on while doing the housework, with enough action to distract you now and then before all the dull talk sends you back to recaulking the bathtub.
