10 Movies That Were Totally Haunted

7. Ghost

Rosemarys Baby
Paramount Pictures

This is the only non-horror movie on the list. Since every other movie was about the supernatural, you could probably chalk those up to the power of suggestion - the subject matter is spooky, so people working on the project suddenly get amenable to the idea of spooky things.

But this wasn't that. This was a love story. This was Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. This was the pottery wheel scene. You know the one. Your mom salivates over it. There wasn't a spooky bone in this movie's body, yet it STILL had some alleged paranormal activity.

Much of the film was shot at Paramount's Stage 19, the same place they filmed Happy Days. One notable member of the Happy Days cast died a tragic, untimely death: Heather O'Rourke, star of the Poltergeist films.

She passed away at just twelve years old from unexpected medical complications, prompting many to speculate about a curse relating to the Poltergeist series.

Curse or not, Heather O'Rourke has found herself tied to supernatural occurrences. Apparently, the sound of a child's laughter could be heard echoing through the set of Ghost, including the disembodied pitter-patter of little feet on the catwalk - the same catwalk Heather O'Rourke would play on.
