10 Movies That Were Totally Haunted
3. Rosemary's Baby
One of the most famous horror films in history, Rosemary's Baby follows Rosemary Woodhouse, a young wife who - after getting pregnant - begins to suspect that demonic and satanic forces are at play all around her, with her unborn child at the center of it all.
Many people believe this film to be cursed, including its producer, William Castle. After the film's release, Castle was hospitalized with life-threatening kidney stones. While in a state of hallucination in his hospital bed, he reportedly screamed, "Rosemary, for God's sake, drop the knife!"
Just six months after the film's release, composer Krzysztof Komeda was pushed from a cliff at a party, spent four months in a coma, and never woke up.
Then there's Sharon Tate, wife of the film's director, Roman Polanski.
Tate lobbied for the role of Rosemary, but ultimately lost out to Mia Farrow. Rumors persist that she made an uncredited cameo as a party guest, and often lingered around the set. The following year, the pregnant Tate, her unborn child, and four others were brutally murdered by the Manson family.
To this day, some speculate that it was because of her connection to Rosemary's Baby.
