And here we are. We've reached the end of our James Wan-athon.

The "true" story of Ed and Lorraine Warren's investigation of the Perron family haunting is one of the best pieces of horror to come out of the 2010s.

Delightfully creepy with an impeccably ominous atmosphere, audiences had a great time at the theatre, and a much, much worse time at home, where the witch Bathsheba seemed to lurk around every corner, hide in the depths of every closet, prowl the darkness of every basement, and lie in wait in every attic.

Maybe, just maybe, something really WAS lurking in the darkness in that house.

Lorraine Warren herself, Vera Farmiga, reported three digital claw-like marks on her computer, which later manifested as bruises on her thigh. Something similar happened to Joey King, who claims to have woken up covered in mysterious bruises. James Wan's dog reportedly barked at an unseen entity in the night, too.

Creepiest of all, when the real Perron family visited the set, they were reportedly accompanied by a strange gust of wind, though it didn't affect anyone or anything else nearby - almost like it was following them, and them specifically.
