10 Movies To Open Marvel's Phase 4 (And Why They'd Be Perfect)

5. Fantastic Four

In 2015, Fox attempted to reboot the Fantastic Four movie franchise and failed spectacularly. The movie they put out was pitiful - arguably the worst (and certainly the most boring) comic book movie to date - and, frankly, it's about time they gave up on Reed Richards and company and let Marvel Studios do their thing with them. Between now and the start of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there is plenty of time to strike a deal to make that a reality - and an MCU Fantastic Four movie would be a great way to kick-off that fourth chapter of the franchise. Done correctly, the Fantastic Four could easily be as popular as the Avengers and opening Phase Four with them would be a great way to start replacing the possibly departed Robert Downey, Jr. and Chris Evans et al. Introducing them at the beginning of Phase Four would signal the start of a new era for the franchise and finally give Marvel's mistreated first family the movie they deserve. The movie could also be used to introduce a new big-bad for the MCU in the form of Doctor Doom, Kang the Conqueror or even Galactus - three of only a handful of villains who could truly follow the Mad Titan Thanos as the main baddie without feeling like a step down.
