10 Movies We Desperately Wanted To Happen (But Never Will)

Video game movies are like a mixed bag of vegetables; they’re all bad, but some are the good kind of bad, while others are much worse than others.

Detective Pikachu for example, was a rare sweet potato. The Mario movie was a sprout. Mortal Kombat’s good kind of bad was the acquired taste of kale, while Sonic The Hedgehog was set to be a horrendous stale plate of veggie leftovers, recently transformed into the much more appetising Bubble & Squeak.

Still following? Never mind.

The point is, though they’re almost always naff, we keep hoping that the next one will turn it around and be great. Fingers crossed for Uncharted everybody!

We don’t know though how Spyro would have turned out, as the planned Legend Of Spyro movie was scrapped in 2010, after being initially pushed back from Christmas 2009. It wasn’t set to follow the original trilogy, but the less popular, more complicated follow ups. In the end, several ideas and designs were absorbed into Skylanders, as Activision decided on the playable toys model rather than the planned film franchise.

Which lets you know it probably would have been naff after all.
