10 Movies We Want In Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4

3. Thor: Ragnarok 2

Those who've seen the immensely enjoyable Thor: Ragnarok will know that it isn't really the third part of a trilogy; it's more like the start of its own.

Tonally and visually it's so far removed from anything the first two Thor movies tried that they may as well not even exist. So, in a way, Thor only has one movie - and it would be a shame to end things there.

Now that the character has finally found his footing, it only makes sense for his adventures to continue in a sequel to Thor: Ragnarok, and there are plenty of things left to explore.

Ragnarok's ending didn't make it clear or not whether Hela survived, and with the entire population of Asgard left floating in space, Thor will need to find them a new home - once he's dealt with Thanos, anyway.

A sequel to Thor: Ragnarok - once again directed by Taika Waititi - that finds Thor planet-hopping in search of a new place to call Asgard sounds like an absolute joyride, with a literal galaxy of opportunities in which to implement Waititi's wicked brand of humour.

Oh, and more Korg please. There can never be too much Korg.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
