10 Movies Whose CinemaScores Make No Sense

5. Here Comes The Boom

CinemaScore: A

Here Comes The Boom is about a high school teacher getting into MMA to raise money for his school. Its last fight scene plays to the underdog trope and it's pretty effective.

The movie isn't bad and is even enjoyable at times but its A grade regards it as one of the greatest comedies since CinemaScore began.

That score is way too high for this Kevin James movie. The only rationale for how this came about is that the people who went to see it on opening night were so surprised by how good it was that they rated it over the top.

It is still shocking that a large number of moviegoers decided this deserved an A grade instead of a more reasonable B or B+.

Ben Jessey hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
