10 Movies With Questionable Moral Messages

1. Prostitution Is The Perfect Way To Meet Your Great Love - Pretty Woman

Pretty Woman Pretty Woman revolves around a downtrodden Hollywood hooker named Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts), who ends up hired by a rich businessman, Edward Lewis (Richard Gere), to be his escort for a number of events before, of course, they end up falling in love with one another. All you really need to know about this film is that it was originally supposed to be a dark warning about prostitution, but was ultimately re-worked as a chirpier romantic comedy with a bigger budget sunk into it. In fact, in the original ending of the film, Edward doesn't fall in love with her and she winds up back on the street, but it test-screened horribly, so was nixed. The moral message here seems to be that prostitution will eventually lead you to a life of not just love and contentment, but wealth as well. Given how popular the film is with young girls, it's a bit of a creaky line to take, really. Which heinous movie moral message disturbs you the most? Let us know in the comments below.
