10 Movies With Title Characters Who Aren't The Lead

6. Birds Of Prey: And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn

Godfather Marlon Brando
Warner Bros.

This title never made any sense.

First of all, Harley Quinn has way more focus than any of the Birds of Prey. It's more of a Harley Quinn solo movie, featuring the Birds of Prey as supporting characters.

Second of all, the Birds of Prey don't come together until well over an hour into the film. Telegraphing their appearance in the title spoils the movie's climax.

Third of all, only Black Canary, Cassandra Cain, and the Huntress are actually members of the Birds of Prey in the comics. Harley Quinn and Renee Montoya, who make up two fifths of the team in the film, have never been a part of the Birds of Prey until the movie.

Unfortunately, Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, didn't do as well as it should have at the box office. The sickeningly fun Suicide Squad Quinn-off might have fared better if it changed its title to the more accurate, and shorter, Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, before it hit theaters, not after.
