10 Movies You Could've Watched Instead Of Campaigning For The Snyder Cut

4. Street Fighter

Terrible movies bear a charm that can ultimately be unwavering - if it's poorly received today, it could gain a cult status following in ten or twenty years time. Whether or not the Snyder Cut ends up redeeming a certain corner of the DC universe, there is no doubt that a sect of the population will look back at the Joss Whedon interpretation with fondness.

What's funny is that bad films are now being enjoyed a lot more earnestly than ironically, and you can count 1994's Street Fighter in that demographic too. Like Justice League, Street Fighter was a film pushed out with some air of urgency - and it's very blatant in the films presentation.

The shoestring script forges a very clumsy and sweaty way to bring the 'street fighters' together and determine who is villainous or heroic. Though the quality of the film comes through the vested interest and stakes each character has. In Justice League, please ask yourself why Barry Allen teams up with Bruce Wayne? Because he's lonely?!

Decisions made in Street Fighter are just as convoluted as Justice League - but at least Street Fighter has villains breaking the fourth wall and pointing out how stupid everything is.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
