10 Movies You Didn't Know Are Becoming TV Shows

6. Fatal Attraction

Shutter Island HBO
Paramount Pictures

Remember Fatal Attraction? It was that erotic thriller film starring Michael Douglas as the cheating husband who got more than he bargained for when he had a love affair with Glenn Close, who turned out to be insane. So insane, in fact, that she put his daughter's pet rabbit in a pot and boiled him alive.

Well, now that movie is getting its own TV series with the guys behind Mad Man at the helm, which actually sounds like it could be quite good. Yes, Paramount Pictures have teamed up with Fox in order tweak the premise of the film - man has affair; man regrets affair - so that it works as something that can be potentially dragged out for 4 or 5 seasons.

No major details or casting news yet, though, as this was only announced recently. Maybe Michael Douglas can have a cameo as a guy who, like, warns the new Michael Douglas character not to have an affair with a woman he doesn't know very well. Very meta, that.

Is It A Good Idea? Rendered in a non-cheesy way, absolutely. Especially if the people behind Mad Men are put at the helm. Why the hell not?
