10 Movies You Didn't Know Are Becoming TV Shows

Leonardo DiCaprio movies are pretty popular when it comes to upcoming TV adaptations, apparently. First there was the The Beach, and now there's the adaptation of Shutter Island, based on the brilliant film from 2010.

The original movie - directed by the legendary Martin Scorsese - featured Leonardo DiCaprio as a U.S. Marshal named Teddy Daniels who was tasked with investigating the disappearance of a patient on a secluded island housing a mental hospital; as he went deeper down the rabbit hole, it turned out that things were not quite as they seemed.

The TV show is set to be produced as a joint venture between Paramount and HBO, which is pretty cool, and the first episode was even penned by the novelist who wrote the original book from which Martin Scorsese's movie was derived, Dennis Lehane. It's not clear how the show will take inspiration from the film, but it's supposedly something of a prequel.

Is It A Good Idea? All in all, it sounds like a recipe for success, doesn't it? Nobody knows the material like Lehane, and HBO are in the business of making great television. Expect this to be pretty great, actually.
