8. It Runs In The Family (1994)
It's A Half-Assed Sequel To...A Christmas Story (1983) A
Christmas Story is one of the most beloved festive flicks ever made, mainly because it manages to be both Christmassy and honest about the occassion, not to mention funny and kind of timeless. Presumably not happy with just leaving it at that, though, a semi-sequel was pushed out into the world in good 'ol 1994, this time with a young Kieran Culkin starring as little Ralphie Parker, and Charles Grodin as his father, a character known only as "Old Man." The precious prize quest this time around - instead of a B.B. gun - is, um, a spinning top, which either shows little Ralphie's growth as a character, or the fact that the filmmakers were seriously running out of ideas. Not completely terrible in every way,
It Runs In The Family is still a film you'd do well to skip.
