Why You Hate It: Many simply took one look at the name "Zack Snyder" and wrote this one off. Others watched it and quickly dismissed it as dumb, loud and monotonous.

None of these descriptors are inaccurate, but they're ultimately a superficial takedown of a legitimately obnoxious, smug movie that has so much more going on.

Why You Should Hate It: Simply, Sucker Punch is an insulting and hypocritical movie. Snyder insists that he fashioned the film as a critique of sexism rampant in fanboy culture...while featuring his actresses frequently dressed in titillating fetish gear which he lovingly lingers on.

Furthermore, there's something tremendously icky about glibly trying to wring big box office bucks from the very demographic you're apparently denouncing with your oh-so-witty satire.

Whichever interpretation of the film you subscribe to, it's howlingly tone-deaf, and that makes it all the more satisfying that fanboys didn't take the cynical bait and the $80 million blockbuster tanked at the box office.
