10 Movies You Need To Watch In 4K
4. Blade Runner 2049
Without question the most visually striking film of last year was Blade Runner 2049, which finally scooped Roger Deakins his long-deserved Best Cinematography Oscar.
To the surprise of absolutely no-one, it's an incredible show-piece for the dynamic capabilities of both 4K and HDR.
The film has an incredibly diverse colour palette, from the earthy colours of the dystopian future, to the bright neon tech-scape, and of course, that beautifully orange third act.
The image clarity is so rich you'll probably be a little surprised at just how cracked Harrison Ford's face appears in those late-film close-ups.
A perfect marriage of incredible production design, visual effects and shot framing meticulously transferred to 4K, this is a must-own disc.
