10 Movies You Won’t Believe Are Turning 20 In 2021

5. Monsters, Inc.

No matter what your age, whether your fifteen or fifty, Monsters Inc somehow feels like a childhood classic for everyone. Pixar’s second movie not related to the Toy Story franchise, Monsters Inc took the common children’s phobia of monsters and changed up the perspective by making the frightening bed time creatures the heroes of the story.

In the fictional city of Monstropolis, monsters live like normal human civilisation, but must power the energy through screams of children. One human girl manages to find her way into the monster’s civilisation and she ends up changing Sulley and Mike’s perception of children in the human world forever.

It’s a lovely fable from the Disney Pixar studios, full of multi-dimensional characters and intense action sequences. It feels like only a handful of years ago that the film graced the big screen, but when you find out that even the sequel to this movie is now eight years old, it makes you realise just how long ago it was that we all first watched Monsters Inc.
