10 Movies You Won't Believe Are Already Getting The Remake Treatment

6. The League of Extraordinary Gentleman

the-league-of-extraordinary-gentlemen-original Here's an upcoming remake that I'm genuinely rooting for, because the massacre that took place back in 2003 when Hollywood tried to adapt Alan Moore's seminal Victorian superhero comic book series to the big screen was so bloody that I've barely been able to sleep since. I'm cheating a bit including this on the list, though, because this isn't getting remade into a movie: it's becoming a TV show, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, given that TV is arguably better than movies these days - or, at least, there's a hell of a lot of good TV on now. Shame it's being made by Fox, then, which almost guarantees that this will be awful and ill-judged in every conceivable way. If you saw The League of Extraordinary when it came out in theatres, congratulations on just finishing your therapy - we made it! Which is another way of saying it resembled the amazing graphic novel series it was based upon in zero ways. The only good thing about it was that it didn't make as much money as expected and so the intended sequel was cancelled. Alas, we were granted a mere decade of peace. Take it away, Fox. Will It Suck? AMC? HBO? Showtime, even? Why didn't any of you pick this up instead, huh?
