Who Could Star: Joe Dempsie and Nicholas Hoult

The Gallagher Brothers are as famous for their fallouts as they are for their music, so there’s a lot for any potential biopic to dive into. Oasis is more than just those two, but make no mistake, they would be the stars of the show.

Even at their peak, the brothers had quite a turbulent relationship. This all came to a head in 2009, when the band finally split for good. Liam remained with several Oasis members under the name Beady Eye, while Noel Gallagher fronted his own band, the High Flying Birds.

As one of the biggest bands in the history of British rock, their split dominated headlines in the music press for months.

It was painted as Noel no longer being to put up with Liam’s antics anymore, though in truth their relationship was deeply toxic on both sides.

Noel will probably come out of any biopic looking the better of the pair, but a true retelling will involve a deep dive into the friction the pair caused everywhere they went.

Dempsie and Hoult both came up in Skins and have gone on to great things; they could play the tumultuous brothers well.
