7. Zoe Saldana
Zoe Saldana has quickly become an A-lister in just the last four years. Though she'd been acting for some time, 2009 was her breakout year thanks to her crucial role in two mega franchises: As Uhura in Star Trek and Neytiri in Avatar. Though her roles haven't been quite as large since then, she's starred in nine films and will be joining Bradley Cooper in 2014 as Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy, followed by three Avatar sequels. Before standing up to a group of Klingons in Star Trek Into Darkness, Saldana had smaller, but frequent, roles early on in her career. She first starred in an episode of Law & Order in 1999, which gained her enough exposure to land her first film gig, in Center Stage (2000). Between 2000 and 2009, she appeared in 18 things including Crossroads, The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, The Terminal, and Vantage Point.
