Thor: Ragnarok will see a war being started that could end with the death of all of the Norse Gods. In the comics, Loki works with Hela to free a number of captive enemies of Asgard in order to bring the war about - and that's what we expect to happen on film. With Loki currently sitting on the throne of Asgard in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is in an ideal position to trigger the devastating event, as there will be nobody in any position to oppose him - particularly if he is still posing as Odin using his powers of illusion. Hela is the ruler of Hel and Niffleheim - realms which house a number of dastardly creatures - and when she helped Loki to start Ragnarok, she provided him with an army of monsters to attack Asgard. She is actually the daughter of a previous incarnation of Loki - an incarnation who died in a previous Ragnarok event - and that will add a very interesting dynamic to proceedings. It will also be cool to have a really powerful female villain on show.
