Captain Marvel isn't making her full MCU debut until 2019 when her '90s-set solo outing arrives ahead of Avengers 4. Although Carol Danvers won't be appearing in Infinity War, don't be surprised to see her crop up in some form in one of next year's movies, as has been rumoured.

Brie Larson, who is playing the cosmic heroine, has been spotted on the set of Avengers 4 and Marvel has confirmed she will have a key role in Phase Three's conclusion, so there's always a chance she could pop up for a cameo in one of Ant-Man and The Wasp's post-credits stingers.

The Ant-Man sequel will be the final MCU movie of 2018 and the next entry in the series will be Captain Marvel. Both are expected to feed into Avengers 4 in some way, so is a tenuous link between them really out of the question?

Granted, Captain Marvel is a prequel set in the '90s, but there's a good chance the action will end up in present day by the time the movie is over, similar to the way Captain America: The First Avenger ditched its period setting, and Marvel may offer a hint about Carol's presence in the current MCU before next year is out.
