7. Abigail Brand
When Emilia Clarke was cast for Secret Invasion, fans couldn't stop guessing who she was playing. Every name was thrown around, including the Skrullqueen, Spider-Woman, Psylocke, Lyja, the Super-Skrull, and Thanos' mother, Sui-San.
Even though Clarke's role is meant to be a deeply guarded secret, a leak has revealed she's playing Abigail Brand, who serves as the director of the extra-terrestrial counter-terrorist unit, S.W.O.R.D. (Basically, she's Nick Fury if he lived in space.)
Being a human/alien hybrid, Brand has various powers including pyrokinesis and super-durability. She can understand and speak any language in the cosmos, making her exceptionally skilled with brokering peace between intergalactic forces.
Not only has Abigail Brand handled many extraterrestrial threats, including Thanos and Galactus, she was instrumental during the Secret Invasion. After the Skrulls stranded her on her orbital base, Brand broke into their ships and rescued Reed Richards, before facing the invaders on Earth alongside the Avengers.
With many more nefarious aliens still to be implemented into the MCU, such as the Badoon, the Brood, and the Phalanx, let's hope Secret Invasion isn't the last we see of Abigail Brand.
