10 New MCU Characters We Can't Wait To See In 2023

4. The Hood

Adam Warlock Guardians of the Galaxy
Marvel Comics

Before he was The Hood, Parker Robbins was a petty thief. After he came into possession of a demonic cloak, he was endowed with malevolent power, allowing him to become one of New York's most dangerous crime lords.

The Hood may be bad to the bone in the comics, but we'll see a very different side to him in the upcoming series, Ironheart. In the Disney+ six-part show, Robbins will start off as an ally to our heroine, Riri Williams, and a misfit who "wants to take in other misfits". But once he gets a taste of the dark arts, the power goes to Robbins' head, turning him into his former friend's arch-enemy.

Even though he may seem like a small-fry gangster at first, The Hood is among the most ambitious supervillains on Earth. Throughout his bouts with the Avengers, the pistol-wielding warlock has allied with Dormammu, created a criminal empire, resurrected over a dozen supervillains, mastered Asgardian magic, and attained several Infinity Stones. If the tv incarnation of The Hood is anything like his comic book counterpart, Ironheart will have her work cut out for her.
