2. The Film Is Laying On Plenty Of Humour

A common criticism levelled at both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman was that they tended to fall on the sullen side of comic book adaptations - perhaps too much.

It's a criticism that WB have been quick to address, with Wonder Woman and now Justice League adding some much needed comic relief to what was until recently an unnecessarily morose depiction of the DC Universe. Flash is the key source of comedy in this trailer, although Aquaman and Alfred get their own share of the laughs throughout.

Some might find frustration in Warner's capitulation to audience criticism, but it's a welcome step either way. No one said DC can't be dark, but there's a fine line between serious and silly. Upping the self-awareness of the script is a great way of counteracting the series' previous missteps, and is bound to leave audiences with many, many quotable lines when the film drops in November.
