10 Non-Christmas Films You Can TOTALLY Get Away With Watching This Festive Season
7. Batman Returns
Tim Burton's sequel to his 1989 Batman film features an incredible cast of Danny DeVito, Michelle Pfeiffer and Michael Keaton. The Penguin (DeVito) teams up with twisted businessman Schreck (Christopher Walken) to try and take down Batman once and for all. With Penguin's ruthlessness and Schreck's financial backing, the two are a threat to be reckoned with. Not only that, but after discovering Schreck's plan to topple Batman, Catwoman also joins in on the fun but things take an unexpected turn when the two come face to face.
How to convince others: If there's one thing we know about Tim Burton other than his love of casting Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, it's his undying love for Christmas. Gotham City is covered in snow and decorative lights throughout the film and even has one of the biggest Christmas trees ever seen on screen. It also features the iconic line "Mistletoe can be deadly if you eat it," delivered hilariously by Catwoman.
Speaking of Catwoman and eating things, apparently, the scene where a live bird flies out of Michelle Pfeiffer's mouth was genuine. How's that for a turkey alternative?
