10 Non-Christmassy Christmas Films To Watch At Christmas

1. Paddington

The Chronicles of Narnia
StudioCanal

What can I say about Paddington that hasn't been said before? In short, this movie is as cute and lovely as it's starring man - sorry, starring bear. Filled with British charm and a family-friendly cast, Paddington is sure to keep you entertained over the festive period.

Paddington himself is an adorable character who constantly gets into all kinds of scrapes and bother, usually all thanks to his lack of understanding on how to live in the big city. Here in this 2014 movie, so much of the appeal of the titular bear comes from Paddington's voice actor, Ben Wishaw. Wishaw is also known for playing Q in the more recent James Bond films, and it's worth nothing that so many 007 pictures also happen to make for perfect viewing over the Christmas season.

After you've enjoyed Paddington, you'll of course be wanting to watch Paddington 2. And after Paddington 2, you'll find yourself eagerly awaiting Paddington 3.

Unfortunately, you may have to wait a little while to enjoy Paddington 3, for that film is currently on the hunt for a director - with Paul King, the helmer of the previous two films, unable to return to direct a third Paddington picture due to being tied to other projects.
