10 Obscure Movie Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

1. James Bond's White Suit - Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom

Indiana Jones' father was James Bond. Not in that Sean Connery play his literal Dad, but the formula to which Steven Spielberg's adventure movies adhere to is heavily influenced by the on screen adventures of 007. Although the basic inspiration was adventure serials, the narrative structure and protagonist's suaveness mean Bond looms large over Jones.

Before getting Connery on board for The Last Crusade in a direct reference to this fact, Spielberg and writer George Lucas snuck in a little wink to this inspiration in the second movie; the white suit Indy wears at the start of The Temple Of Doom is an exact copy of the one Bond wears in Goldfinger's pre-credits sequence.

Shocking, positively shocking. Some claim this is a nod to Rick in Casablanca, a film which had a rather prominent thematic influence on Indy, but with both suits boasting a red carnation in the lapel it's clear where Spielberg's throwback is aimed.
