10 Obvious Movie Bloopers We Can't Believe We Missed First Time

4. The Text Message - School Of Rock

School of Rock has to be one of the ultimate feel-good films, featuring one of Jack Black's greatest roles.

Richard Linklater's comedy about how a down-on-his-luck guitarist transforms a class of schoolchildren into a mighty rock band is a modern classic. Even this great movie is guilty of some distinctive errors, however, even if they are difficult to spot without knowing what you are looking for.

Right at the start of the film, Dewey Finn (Black) is performing with his band No Vacancy prior to their audition for Battle of the Bands. The performance isn't going down well, a sentiment epitomised by one audience member who sends a text message to their friend saying "these guys suck. Leave." Except they never sent that message - because they were typing it into a blank document file on their phone, not in a text message. The "Document [03]" visible just above the text is the giveaway.

Such a detail is hardly enough to distract from all of the film's charms, but even so it is a needlessly silly mistake. Unless, of course, the person writing the message doesn't have any friends and is just pretending. If so, then this is some stellar acting.
